Photo from JasminOuschan.ComJasmin Ouschan raised her pool cue and smiled broadly after beating Kelly Fisher in the Great Lakes Classic 9-ball tourney final Sunday.
It was the most emotion underdog Ouschan showed all day in earning her third Women's Professional Billiard Association title. The blonde native of Austria joined the pro tour in 2007.
She took advantage of Fisher's break in Game 2 to sink a 2-9 combo for a quick 2-0 lead then went up 4-1 and cruised 7-2. Game 2 lasted about one minute.
"When I was up 6-2 I felt victory was close," grinned Ouschan. "All the pressure was off at the end."
She was 17th last year in her first Great Lakes Classic at the Blue Chip Casino-Hotel.- More news on Post-Tribune
