29 June - Outage for Rackspace Customers
Many sites hosted at Rackspace Hosting were offline for about 45 minutes this afternoon when the company’s data center in Grapevine, Texas lost power. Rackspace reported at 4:30 p.m. Eastern that it was “having an issue that is affecting part of our DFW data center.”
At just after 5 p.m. Rackspace reported via its Twitter account that “all power is restored to the DFW data center. Power is restored and currently stable.” The company said it was continuing to manually bring up servers that did not restart properly when power was restored. Some sites that had SSL encryption enabled were also experiencing delays in being returned to service, according to a status update at The Rackspace Cloud. As of 6:30 p.m. Eastern the Grapevine data center was running on a combination of generator and utility power.
Rackspace’s Robert Scoble described the issue as a “major outage.” “There is nothing worse than having our customers be down,” he wrote. ” Hundreds of people are working on getting all systems back up and running.”
The DFW data center is the company’s largest facility, with 144,000 square feet of space. The facilty in Grapevine figured into a 2007 power outage that interrupted service for many prominent web sites. In that incident, a vehicle struck a power transformer, and public safety officials turned off both the facility’s power feeds during their emergency rescue operations.

Josh Blue, Comedian next performance
For much of his comedy career, Josh Blue has tried to get people to laugh with him about having cerebral palsy.
Although CP will remain a part of his set in some fashion, Blue said he hopes to move to the point where audiences are comfortable with it, allowing him to use other material.
“Now people know who I am, so I don’t have to talk about the disability,” Blue, a Denver native, said. “I have CP, so I have to bring it up, but then I can branch off of what I want to talk about.”
Blue’s big break came when he won the NBC reality show “Last Comic Standing.” Blue said he was headlining comedy clubs before winning the show, but the show allowed him access to more clubs around the country. He said he has been able to come up with a lot more material.
“I really feel like I’ve grown quite a bit,” Blue said. “When I won ‘Last Comic Standing,’ even though I was headlining, it was scary to fill up 45 minutes to an hour. I’m a lot more comfortable doing that amount of time.”

It has not yet been confirmed but New Zealand Police are reporting that Jeff Goldblum has fallen to his death on the set of his new movie. Officials say the actor fell more than 60 feet to his death on the Kauri Cliffs while on-set.

Michael Jackson Died - Heart Attack
Michael Jackson has been hospitalized in Los Angeles after suffering a heart attack.
The 50-year-old King of Pop collapsed at his home around noon today. Staffers immediately rushed to his aid, but he was unresponsive.
"The call came in because a person was not breathing," says Los Angeles Fire Capt. Steve Ruda, who declined to ID the singer by name.
"When the team arrived, they saw that CPR was already in progress by someone at the home. The person not breathing was transported to UCLA Medical Center and remains there."
Jackson's family has begun to gather at the hospital, with mother Katherine among the first to arrive.

Brandon McMillan is an animal trainer and behaviorist who has spent the better part of his 31 years learning about and working with all types of animals—from household pets to the wildest of untamed beasts.
Born into a family of animal entertainers, McMillan has been training wild animals since the age of four. Mark Sanford Affair
What’s that old saying about throwing stones and glass houses? It sure comes to mind today. And it relates to President Clinton and two Republicans who just admitted they cheated on their wives.
The Charleston Post and Courier reports that Mark Sanford, as a congressman, called on Clinton to resign when his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky was revealed. Sanford is now Gov. Sanford. And, as just about everyone knows by now, he confessed today that he had an affair with a “dear, dear friend” in Argentina.
But back in 1998, according to the Post and Courier, he said of Clinton, “Very damaging stuff. This one’s pretty cut and dried.” Calling the overall situation messy, he added: “I think it would be much better for the country and for him personally [to resign]."
John Ensign had similar thoughts back then. Ensign is now Nevada’s junior senator. As the Ticket reported, Ensign's popularity slumped after he admitted that he had an affair with a former staffer.
In 1998 he served in Congress and had this to say to the Las Vegas Review-Journal: "The honorable thing for him to do is to resign and not put the country through this."
No word from Sanford or Ensign on whether either man plans to resign.

A Colbert brother and sister died in a fire and explosion apparently fueled by gunpowder early Sunday morning near Colbert Elementary School.
Lisa Shubert, 42, of Colbert School Road and her brother, Terry (T.J.) Cotton, 39, of Madison Street, were pronounced dead at the scene following resuscitation efforts, according to Madison County coroner Michelle Cleveland.
A third victim, Jerry Scott Payne, also of Colbert School Road, was transported by Emory life flight helicopter to Grady Memorial Hospital’s burn center with initial reports of burns to 90 percent of his body, as well as smoke inhalation injuries.
Cleveland said firefighters found Shubert and Cotton along the back wall of the small block building.
“Their only exit (at the front) was blocked by fire,” Cleveland said.
According to reports, Colbert Volunteer Fire Department, along with Hull and Neese-Sanford fire departments, responded to the scene on Colbert School Road just off Hwy. 72 about 1:30 a.m.
They found Payne outside the building and Cleveland said it was unclear whether he had escaped the entrance or been blown out by the force of the explosion.
Payne allegedly said he had dropped a cigarette near the entrance, where it evidently caught some yard sale clothing on fire, which caused a flash fire and explosion with the gunpowder.
The building’s owner had formerly used it as a gun repair shop, according to Cleveland.
Shubert and Payne reportedly lived in a mobile home just next door and along with Cotton, had gone to the block building to short some stored yard sale items when the fire and explosion occurred. - Mainstreetsnews.Com

Somebody happen to record this video and uploaded it labeling it as Neda Iran Video and it has become a rallying cry for justice in not only Iran but around the world.
This is a moment in history much like the Tienanmen Square incident involving the Tank Man. Years from now students of history will look back and recall the Neda Iran Video as being an important milestone in the history of this troubled nations past.
Neda Iran Video has given a gentle yet strong face to the Iranians call for liberty. It has rallied people around the world in a show of support for the brave people of Iran.

The current debate is about the response of Obama’s administration to the ongoing trouble in Iran. US officials have adopted a hands-off approach towards the country. Many people are not happy about it.
As far as I am concenred, yes, morally US should come out in support of the Iranian people just like the whole world is standing along with them. Mark Sanford Missing ?
Where in the world is South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford?
The governor went missing four days ago and his state is in a tizzy.
Sanford ditched his security detail on Thursday, missed Father's Day weekend with his family, and didn't show up at work Monday.
Neither his wife, nor the state's lieutenant governor, nor police officials know where he is, South Carolina newspapers reported.
But Jenny Sanford told the Associated Press she wasn't worried.
"He was writing something and wanted some space to get away from the kids," she said while vacationing with the couple's four sons.
Late this afternoon, Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer's office told the State newspaper that Sanford had called in.
But when asked if the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), which provides security for the governor, knows his location, a SLED spokeswoman refused to comment.

A newspaper is reporting that the wife of a professional golfer from Indiana was killed in a car crash.
Beth Smith, of Peru, Ind., wife of PGA Tour player Chris Smith, was killed Sunday when the sport-utility vehicle she was traveling in collided with a Greyhound bus transporting a Canadian semipro football team, The News-Sentinel of Fort Wayne reported.

Gary Papa Passed Away
Action News sports director Gary Papa, 54, died today at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, more than five years after telling viewers that he was losing his hair due to treatment for prostate cancer. His last appearance on Action News was May 13.
Mr. Papa, a Buffalo, N.Y., native who lived in St. Davids, joined WPVI-TV in April 1981 as a weekend sportscaster. His first story was a recap of a 76ers playoff game from Milwaukee. He became Action News' sports director in 1990.
Sunday's annual Run 4 Your Life, a Father's Day benefit on the Parkway for the Foundation for Breast and Prostate Health, will take on additional significance, and his colleagues are expected to attend en masse. Part of the event is known as the Gary Papa Challenge.
Mr. Papa, who was diagnosed with cancer in August 2003, became involved with the foundation in 2004, and "from that minute on, he was the co-chairman of the run," said founder Shelley Schwartz. "He's just been adorable and helpful and creative and up. When he did something, he did it 500 percent. He was a full-of-life fighter."

* TARP Bill—I want it repealed and no further funding supplied to it. We told you “NO!” but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze! Repeal!
* Czars—I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the Czars. No more Czars. Government officials answer to the process not the President. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.
* Cap & Trade—the debate on global warming is NOT over, there IS more to say.
* Universal Health Care—I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don’t you dare pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!
* Growing Government Control—I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Please mind your own business; you have enough to do with your REAL obligations. Let’s start there.
* ACORN—I do not want ACORN or its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them on every real estate deal that closes. Stop all funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audit and investigation. I do not trust them with the taking of the census or with taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before the taxpayers get any further involved with them. It walks like a duck and talks like a duck—hello… stop protecting political buddies. You work for the people. Investigate.
* Redistribution of Wealth—No. If I work for it, it is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth I support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do want me to hate my employers? What do your have against shareholders making a profit?
* Charitable Contributions—although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities where we know our needs best and can use local talent and resources. Butt out, please. We want to do this ourselves.
* Corporate Bail Outs—knock it off! Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we will be better off just getting to it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful, like ripping off a band aid. We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us a chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.
* Transparency and Accountability—how about it? No really, let’s have it. Let’s say we give the “buzz” words a rest and have some straight, honest talk. Please stop trying to manipulate and appease me with cleaver wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawns and wash our cars on weekends, and be responsible, contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same, all the while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.
I entrusted you with upholding our Constitution and believed in the checks and balances to keep you from getting too far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think that I find humor in hiring a speed reader to unintelligibly ramble through a bill you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not! It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face! I am not laughing—the arrogance!
Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it, but you expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children? We did not want that TARP bill. We said “NO!” We would repeal it if we could. I am not sure that we still cannot. There is such urgency and recklessness in all the recent spending. From my perspective, it seems that you have all gone insane.
I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back!

One of the rising stars of the Republican Party, Senator John Ensign of Nevada, has admitted to having an extramarital affair with a married woman on his campaign staff. He made the announcement at a hastily convened press conference in Las Vegas last night, having flown in from Washington where he warned party leaders of his impending announcement.
Ensign had only recently emerged as a possible presidential candidate for 2012, a serious name for party members to consider once they get Sarah Palin out of their system. Just three weeks ago, he paid a visit to Iowa, fueling speculation about a run for the White House because of the state's significance as the first to hold its primary in any presidential election campaign.
"I deeply regret and am very sorry for my actions," Ensign said at the news conference. His wife, Darlene, was not at her husband's side as is customary on these occasions, but issued a statement saying the couple's marriage had become "stronger" after the affair.
Ensign did not name the other woman, who left his staff early last year, but it is well known in Nevada political circles that she is 46-year-old Cynthia Hampton. She is married to Douglas Hampton, who also worked for the Senator: he served as an aide in his Capitol Hill office from November 2006 to May 2008.
There were claims last night that Ensign decided to go public after Hampton asked the Senator for a substantial sum of money.
Ensign described the affair as "the worst thing I have ever done in my life" and added: "If there was ever anything in my life that I could take back, this would be it."
Charges of hypocrisy do not help his situation today. Ensign is a member of an Evangelical group called Promise Keepers that promotes marriage fidelity. He was one of many who called for President Bill Clinton to resign when news of his affair with the White House intern Monica Lewinsky came out. And he was one of the first out of the blocks to condemn fellow senator Larry Craig when he was arrested for lewd conduct in a men's lavatory at the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport in 2007.

Nivea Hamilton Pregnant
Not only is Lauran London rumored to be pregnant with Lil Wayne’s child, but so is singer Nivea Hamilton. According to photographer and industry insider, Freddy, singer Nivea is pregnant with rapper Lil Wayne’s baby.
Freddy says, “I would like to be the first to send my congratulations to [Nivea] and her baby daddy soon-to- be husband Wayne. The two are said to be marrying within the next few months. Hummmm I wonder about that. Wayne will also be having a child with the one and only Ms. Lauren London who is also pregnant by him.”
If this is the case, Lil Wayne is going to be one busy papa!
Currently, Lil Wayne has two other children, daughter Reginae, 10, and 6-mos son Dwayne Carter III. Nivea is the ex-wife of singer/producer The Dream and has three children with him.

Forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden, a former chief medical examiner for New York City who appears on the HBO cable TV show "Autopsy," who was hired by David Carradine's family, has released the results of his forensic examination. He has determined that David Carradine's death was not a suicide, but indicated that further information was required from Thai investigators to determine an exact cause of death.
Dr. Michael Baden said the following in a statement released to The Associated Press through Carradine's brothers, Keith and Robert Carradine:
"To reach a final determination as to the cause and the manner of death we must wait for further information from Thailand, as to the scene findings and the completion of the crime laboratory and toxicology studies that are still being performed."
David Carradine had been found in his Bangkok hotel room last week by a maid. His body was hanging in the closet of his room. A Thai tabloid, Thai Rath, published a graphic image of the death scene that police have said appears to be a leaked forensics image. Carradine's family was incensed when the photo was released, and promised legal action if it appeared in any U.S.-based media.
Speculation in Carradine's death ranged from suicide to accidental death while engaged in auto-erotic asphyxiation.
David Carradine starred in the 1970s TV series “Kung Fu.” His was a controversial choice, made when network executives felt that the starring role in the series could not be carried by their first choice, Asian actor Bruce Lee.
In the series, David Carradine played Kwai Chang Caine, a Shaolin monk who travels through the American Old West armed only with his skill in martial arts. Carradine actually had no knowledge of martial arts prior to starring in the series, but developed an interest in it after this experience and became an avid practitioner.
Despite the controversy, the series was pretty successful, at least for a time, and spawned a TV movie and sequels. It also became clear that despite eschewing Bruce Lee as the star, the series was quite provided many acting roles for Asian actors.
David Carradine also had a notable movie career, including, of late, a role in the series of movies, Kill Bill. Of late, he has also done a significant number of voiceovers for animated features.

Who is Slade Heathcott
Well, for starters, he is the top pick for the Yankees New York Yankees in this year's First-Year Player Draft. Baseball America ranked Heathcott No. 72 overall in this year's draft class and 10th best in the state of Texas. Heathcott is a 6-foot-1, 190 pound outfielder who hits and throws left-handed. Here is a bio on him from Baseball America, and by no means does it make Heathcott out to be a sure thing:
Heathcott is an enigma for scouts. He's a legitimate second-round talent as both an outfielder and a lefthanded pitcher, but he has DHed for most of the spring. He was out until mid-March recovering from November surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, then jammed his throwing shoulder diving for a fly ball in his second game back.
When healthy, he's an athletic outfielder with five-tool potential. He swings a quick bat from the left side and has strength and power in his 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame. He earns plus grades for his hitting and his speed, and he has good range and above-average arm strength in the outfield.
Heathcott was selected for the Aflac All-American Game last summer as a pitcher, and some clubs like him more as a lefty with an 88-92 mph fastball that touches 94 and a promising curveball. There's effort in his delivery because he approaches pitching like he does everything else: full speed ahead.
Heathcott hasn't pitched this spring because of the shoulder injury, however. His makeup also is a concern for several clubs, so it's uncertain where he'll fit in the draft. He's committed to Louisiana State.

In Gans case, he had undergone shoulder surgery in November 2008. Because he was experiencing a great deal of pain many months later, his surgeon operated again in March 2009 to remove scar tissue. According to Gans’ manager, the pain caused many sleepless nights for the entertainer. In their last conversation, a day prior to his untimely death, Gans told Chip Lightman that he hadn’t been sleeping.
For those looking for a specific definition of hydromorphone toxicity: the drug is a habit forming potent centrally-acting analgesic. The down side is the dose-related respiratory depression and sometimes circulatory depression. Massive overdoses are rarely observed, but when they occur they may lead to circulatory system collapse.

Adam Lambert is gay.
The American Idol Season 8 runner-up ends any speculation in the next issue of Rolling Stone, out Friday. "I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear I'm gay." He explains: "I've been living in Los Angeles for eight years as a gay man. I've been at clubs drunk making out with somebody in the corner."
The Idol favorite, who finished in second place after Kris Allen, says, "Right after the finale, I almost started talking about it to the reporters, but I thought, 'I'm going to wait for Rolling Stone, that will be cooler.' " He adds, " I'm proud of my sexuality."
Still, Lambert, 27, says he doesn't mind attention from the opposite sex. "I loved it this season when the girls went crazy for me," he says. "As far as I'm concerned, it's all hot."
But exactly what is his type? When Idol producers put him in a room to share with Allen, Lambert says his first thought was, "They put me with the cute guy. Distracting! He's the one guy I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type — except that he has a wife. I mean he's open-minded and liberal, but he's definitely 100% straight."
As for the scandal over photos of Lambert in drag that surfaced on the Internet in March, he says, he forgot to remove photos from his profile on a social network for the Burning Man festival in Nevada. "Wasn't ready for that," he tells RS of the photos of him in costume making out with his ex. He was worried that people would think the drag ensemble was typical of him. "I've only dressed in drag three or four times. ... I don't tuck and wear breasts, that's not me."
Though Lambert supports the gay-rights movement, he doesn't want to be its poster boy. "I'm trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader."
Stereotypes about gays do annoy Lambert. "Clay Aiken's gay, and I'm gay, and we couldn't be more different. The only thing that is the same about everyone in the gay community is that we're gay. ... Why can't we talk about a human community?"
In addition to his homosexuality, Lambert shares other personal details with RS.
At 21, he was in a European tour of Hair for six months. That was when he dyed his hair black. In Germany, he started smoking pot and tried Ecstasy. But he does have limits. Among his dislikes: cocaine.
"That drug is such a reflection of the lack of self-esteem and control people have over themselves and their lives," he says.

David Carradine was found dead in his room at the Swissôtel Nai Lert Park Hotel on Wireless Road, near Sukhumvit, in central Bangkok, Thailand.
Police Lieutenant General Worapong Chewprecha, Commander of the Metropolitan Police, remarked that the closed circuit television installed within the hotel supported the theory that no other persons were involved with the death.
Carradine’s representative and family members told the press that they believed the death to be accidental and not a suicide.

Teen swaps sex for handbag
Hong Kong police are investigating a video on the internet showing a teenage girl performing a sex act on a man on a bus to earn money for a designer handbag.
The six-minute video showed the girl performing oral sex on the man on the upper deck of a bus as it rides across Hong Kong island with a few other passengers on board.
The video, which appeared to have been shot with a camera phone held by the man, has been circulated on the internet under the heading "Kikimushroom do things on bus".
The description of the video, which has been posted on a number of popular internet forums, said: "Pay $200 and get this service from a 17-year-old Hong Kong student. She wants to buy Gucci bag".
The man involved in the video described the act she was performing and told viewers that the girl's services are available "for a price".
The girl looked up at the camera, aware she is being filmed, and commented on the "peaceful surroundings" outside the bus. Two other passengers were sitting in front of the man and girl, apparently unaware of what was going on.
Police were investigating whether the video is linked to a trend called "compensated dating" - a euphemism for paid sex with young students - believed to have spread to Hong Kong from Japan.
A police spokesman quoted by Monday's Hong Kong Standard newspaper said the incident was being investigated by the Technology Crime Division of the Commercial Crime Bureau.
