Susan Boyle Hospitalized

After a devastating loss on Britain's Got Talent, reports say Scottish singer Susan Boyle has been admitted to London's Priory Clinic for exhaustion.

UK paper The Sun says staffers from the UK talent show contacted Police on Sunday evening after Boyle was seen wandering her London hotel looking disoriented.

Paramedics were called to the scene and took Boyle away voluntarily, the report says.

"It was all done very calmly. They didn't want to stress or upset her. She didn't look well - she looked lost, not all there," a source told the paper.

A spokesperson for the talent competition responded to the claims with a statement:

"Following Saturday's show, Susan is exhausted and emotionally drained. She has been seen by her private GP, who supports her decision to take a few days out for rest and recovery. We offer her our ongoing support and wish her a speedy recovery."

Boyle is 48, native to Blackburn, West Lothian. She came in second place in the competition, beat by dance troupe Diversity.

Susan Boyle Last Performance

The world was fixated on the final "Britain's Got Talent" Saturday (May 30), mainly to see how the unlikely overnight sensation Susan Boyle, who has been battered by the media in the wake of last week's shaky performance on the show would fare. She did not disappoint her fans, who, judging by the amount of traffic clogging the show's Web site, were flocking to their computers to see her performance — but ultimately came in second, losing out to dance troupe Diversity. The 10-member British troupe will receive 100,000 pounds ($160,000) and will perform at the Royal Variety Performance before the Queen.

Miss Washington on Domestic Violence

Elyse Umemoto championed diversity and women's issues during her reign as Miss Washington 2007.

While she was serving in that role - and partnering with the YWCA to publicize her platform of "Embracing Diversity, Empowering Women" - she now says she was privately living "a double life."

"I went from being a passionate advocate to a victim, quite literally a statistic," she said in an interview during a recent visit to the Yakima Valley. "One in four women will be a victim of domestic violence in her lifetime."

Umemoto is the oldest of four sisters, and one of the top three finishers at the 2008 Miss America pageant in Las Vegas. She made it as far as any Miss Washington ever has, tying with 1959's titleholder, Sharon Joyce Vaughn, of Port Orchard, as second runner-up.

Outside the limelight, Umemoto was dealing with domestic abuse.

"If this can happen to me - I was almost Miss America - nobody's exempt," she said.

Less than two weeks after the Miss America pageant, she filed a report with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, claiming her ex-boyfriend had physically assaulted her in her Tacoma apartment.

According to the sheriff's report, the Feb. 8, 2008, assault was one of several incidents, going back to early 2007.

Sara Jane Moore - Tried to Assassinate President Ford

Free after 32 years in prison, Sara Jane Moore says she was wrong, “misled” and “mistaken” in trying to assassinate President Gerald R. Ford in September 1975. However, she added: “I still believe if I hadn’t done it, someone else would.”

“It was a time people don't remember. We had a war in this country, the Vietnam War,” Moore told Matt Lauer in an exclusive interview on TODAY Thursday. “The only way it was going to change was by revolution.”

It was only later, while spending time in solitary confinement, that the only woman ever to fire a shot at a president said she “had begun to realize that I'd been used.”

“I think that I was misled, that I was mistaken. I think I made a serious error,” she told Lauer. “I had to learn later that everyone else didn't feel that way.”

Susan Boyle Semi Final Performance

Susan Boyle became an overnight success after her first audition on Britain’s Got Talent. She was then put through to the semi final, and it was on Sunday night when she gave us her second performance, and although it was good, it was not as good as her first performance.

When Susan first walked on stage, we all thought the same thing, but once she started singing, it proved one thing, never judge a book by its cover. Her song choice from Les Miserable made her an overnight success, and has been viewed by million on the Internet.

Boyle’s semi final performance started a bit quavered, but it did not take her long to get her voice back on track. She sung “Memory” from Cats, and have to say that her performance was still brilliant. She was put through to Saturday night’s final of Britain’s Got Talent by the public vote.

Mike Tyson Daughter

Tyson's daughter on life support after accident !!!

PHOENIX – Boxer Mike Tyson's 4-year-old daughter is on life support after she was found with her neck caught in a cord of a treadmill machine Monday, police said.

Exodus Tyson's 7-year-old brother found her on a treadmill with her neck in the cord that dangles from the console of the exercise machine at their Phoenix home, police Sgt. Andy Hill said, calling it a "tragic accident."

The boy told Exodus' mother, who was in another room. She took Exodus off the cord, called 911 and tried to revive her.

Responding officers and firefighters performed CPR on Exodus as they rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was in "extremely critical condition" and on life support, Hill said.

"Somehow she was playing on this treadmill, and there's a cord that hangs under the console — it's kind of a loop," Hill said. "Either she slipped or put her head in the loop, but it acted like a noose, and she was obviously unable to get herself off of it."

Hill said former heavyweight champion Tyson had been in Las Vegas but flew to Phoenix immediately after learning of the accident. Police didn't release the girl's name.

Tyson could not immediately be reached for comment but 42West, a New York City public relations firm representing him, released a statement on the family's behalf.

"The Tyson family would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks for all your prayers and support, and we ask that we be allowed our privacy at this difficult time," the statement said.

Brief footage from local TV station KTVK showed Tyson arriving at the hospital in a white button-up and black pants, and looking around with a frown before going inside.

Hill said everything in the investigation pointed to an accident. "There's nothing in the investigation that revealed anything suspicious," he said.

He added that responding to calls involving children is an officer's most difficult duty.

"Those are the things that stay with you in your career," he said. "We always hope for a miracle — not to have the worst happen to a child."
