Richard Kiel, Andre the Giant and Tanya Angus have something in common. They all suffer from a hormonal condition known as acromegaly. Acromegaly is a syndrome that results when the pituitary gland produces excess growth hormone (hGH) after epiphyseal plate closure. Acromegaly is often also associated with gigantism.

Richard Kiel is an American actor best known for his role as the steel-toothed Jaws in the James Bond movies The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker as well as the video game Everything or Nothing, and Mr. Larson in Happy Gilmore. He is 7 feet 1.5 inches tall.

AndrĂ© the Giant, was a French professional wrestler and actor. His great size was a result of acromegaly, and led to his being dubbed “The Eighth Wonder of the World.” In the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), Roussimoff briefly held the WWF Championship. In 1993, he was the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame. He was 7 feet 4 inches talls and weighed 500 lb. - entertainmentandshowbiz.com
